1979 - Opening ceremony of the new Katrin cable car
The official opening ceremony of the Katrin cable car was again attended by numerous representatives of the state of Upper Austria. Mayor Karl Saller was able to welcome, among others, Governor Dr. Josef Ratzenböck, Transport Minister Karl Lausecker, Provincial Councillor Schützenberger, District Governor Hofrat Franz Hufnagl, as well as the representatives of the town and municipal councils on Ischl's local mountain.
After the welcome by mayor Saller and the ceremonial address by governor Dr. Josef Ratzenböck, the church blessing of the facilities was carried out by the city priest Oberlinninger and vicar Liebrich.
