Viewpoints

Leisurely walks lead to the popular vantage points on the Katrin. The vantage point "Trauntalblick", the "Kaiser Ansitz" as well as the "3-Länder-Blick" inspire visitors with a wonderful view.

Walkers can enjoy the panoramic view of the imperial town of Bad Ischl and the Goisern Valley with the majestic Dachstein massif from lofty heights.

WALKWAY TO THE OBSERVATION DECK

"3-COUNTRY VIEW"

  • Walking time: approx. 15 minutes

  • Hiking trail: marked in blue

The hiking trail leads from the mountain station along the "7-Seenblick-Wanderung" in the direction of Hainzen. First past the "heart picture frame", which is a popular photo motive and straight on to the viewing platform. The name "3-Länder-Blick" comes from the fact that from this platform you have a view of the three federal states of Upper Austria, Styria and Salzburg. On the way there, numerous benches invite you to linger.
