Yes. Lift tickets are available at the Skiosk at the mountain station.
Payment is only possible with a debit card. -
Discounts are available for guests with a guest card, seniors aged 60 and over, groups of 20 or more, members of alpine clubs, children aged 6 to 16, and young people aged 16 to 18.

The last descent is at 4:30 p.m. in summer and 4:00 p.m. in winter.

Yes, you can pay by debit card in restaurants on the mountain.

Yes. Despite the driving ban in the city, buses are allowedcable car directly to the Katrin cable car .

Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted to a limited extent, up to a maximum width of 50 cm or if they can be folded.

No. The hiking trails are natural and not barrier-free.

Summer

The ascent takes about 2.5 hours.
The descent takes between 1.5 and 2 hours, depending on the route. -
The hiking trail begins directly after the cable car building on the right-hand side.

There are various hiking trails with walking times ranging from around 30 minutes to around 2.5 hours.

From the valley station, the trail leads up the old ski slope.
The walking time is about 20 minutes. -
The start of the via ferrata is about 40 minutes from the mountain station.
The approach is via the old ski slope, then follow the sign on the left.
Sure-footedness is required for the approach. -
Yes. The turnoff to the via ferrata is signposted from the old ski slope.

It takes about 40 minutes to get from the mountain station area to the start of the via ferrata.
The via ferrata itself takes around 30 to 40 minutes.
The return journey from the summit to the mountain station takes about 30 minutes.
The total walking time is around 2 hours. (Important because of the last descent into the valley)
Winter

Yes. Winter hikes are generally possible outside of closed areas. However, you do so at your own risk and responsibility.

Outside the closed area, the trails are not groomed or tracked in winter.

Yes. Snowshoe hikes are possible outside of closed areas and are undertaken at your own risk.

Current snow conditions can becable car via the Bergfex link on the Katrin cable car website.

For liability reasons. Katrin not a secured ski resort and does not have any groomed slopes.

Winter sports equipment may not be transported on the uphill journey.
Winter sports equipment may be transported on the downhill journey.
